Visitor Access
If you are a visitor or patient that is not a Department of Defense Identification cardholder, you will require a base access pass to access Mike O'Callaghan Military Medical Center. Veteran Identification Cardholders also require a base access pass. Application and pick up of base access passes is at the Visitor Center located at the Main Gate of Nellis Air Force Base. Passes are valid for up to 72 hours.
Required Information
The following information is required when applying for a base access pass:
- Full name of applicant
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Driver's license/identification card number and state
- Must be REAL ID compliant, pictured below
- Country of citizenship
- Date(s) and time(s) of visit
- Unit of the patient being visited (Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit, Multi-Service Unit)

Visitor Center hours, please contact the unit where the patient is located for access coordination:
Base Access for Veterans
If you are Veteran Identification cardholder (pictured below), you may obtain a 24 – 72 hour base pass for yourself at the
Visitor Center located at the Main Gate of Nellis Air Force Base prior to your medical appointment. Any guests must apply for a base access pass.
If you are not a Veteran Identification cardholder, base access passes may be requested when making your appointment. You may also contact the clinic where you have an appointment (at least 5 days prior to appointment). If you have a driver or someone that must accompany you, please request a base access pass for them as well.
