Over the next several weeks, please anticipate the potential for temporary full closures of the drive-thru lanes. If drive-thru lanes are closed or experiencing delays, please park and come inside the Satellite Pharmacy to pick up your prescriptions. Inside, our Pharmacy team is ready to assist you and ensure you receive your medications safely. To minimize your time waiting and make your pharmacy visit as smooth as possible, please activate your prescriptions before you arrive.

Ophthalmology

Ophthalmology covers medical and surgical treatment of the eye. Ophthalmologists are physicians who completed medical school and 4 years of additional training in surgery and eye disease.

Services Provided

The Ophthalmologists at Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center are trained to treat a variety of eye conditions such as:

  • Cataract, including implanting premium and multifocal intraocular lenses
  • Glaucoma
  • Drooping lids and other eyelid conditions
  • Pterygium and conjunctival surgeries
  • Inflammatory disorders of the eye
  • Disorders of the retina
  • And many others

Referrals

A referral from your primary care manager or emergency care physician is required to be seen in Ophthalmology.  All TRICARE beneficiaries are eligible.
