We’re pleased to provide pharmacy services to all our patients. You can fill prescriptions at no cost from the Nellis Main Pharmacy and Nellis Satellite Pharmacy.
If you have a prescription from a TRICARE network or non-network doctor, you may fill it here, as long as it’s available on our Basic Core Formulary. Call us at 702-653-CARE (2273), Option 4, Option 1, Option 3 or check online to see if your drug is available.
We provide up to a 90-day supply for most drugs.
Our Military Pharmacy Services
There are a variety of Military Pharmacies you can choose to have your medications processed. To find the nearest location, please visit: https://www.tricare.mil/FindDoctor/mtf.
Maintenance drugs are those you take regularly for a chronic condition (i.e., drugs to control blood pressure or cholesterol). All beneficiaries must refill certain maintenance drugs through home delivery or at military pharmacies. This does not apply to Active duty service members.
Search the List of Maintenance Drugs to see if you have a prescription you should have transferred to be filled at Nellis Air Force Base or via home delivery.
If you have prescriptions at a TRICARE network pharmacy, you may transfer your prescriptions to our military pharmacy. Call the Express Scripts Member Choice center at 1-877-882-3335 to learn more about prescription transfers.
Basic Core Formulary
All military pharmacies have a Basic Core Formulary. The Basic Core Formulary is a list of drugs that are available at all full-service military pharmacies. Call us at 702-653-CARE (2273), Option 4, Option 1, Option 3 to see if your drug is available or use our Basic Core Formulary Search Tool.

Use the Basic Core Formulary Search Tool to see if your drug is available at your military pharmacy. A search can tell you:
- Formulary status (generic drug, brand-name drug, non-formulary drug, non-covered drug)
- Alternative drugs
To start your search, you’ll need to enter the brand or generic name of the drug.
Nellis AFB Pharmacy processes both MTF Provider Orders and network off-base Provider Electronic prescriptions. To get started with filling your medications on base, you’ll need to contact your military provider’s team or to contact your off-base provider’s team to send in electronic prescriptions. They may also write you a hardcopy prescription to bring physically to the base pharmacy.
All off-base provider orders, whether it’s electronic or hand-written, will be processed at the Satellite Pharmacy on the main side of base. You must pull a ticket from the kiosk located in the Satellite Pharmacy’s waiting lobby to check-in and to get the filling process started.
All refills should be called in to the Satellite Pharmacy with the refill phone number listed on the prescription label.
If your doctor is located at our facility, the prescription will be sent electronically to the Main Pharmacy. You must first pull a ticket from the kiosk located in the Main Pharmacy’s waiting lobby. Then, when called up to the intake window, the technician will review and begin the filling process for your medications.
If your doctor is a civilian TRICARE-authorized provider, call our pharmacy at 702-653-CARE (2273), Option 4, Option 1, Option 3 or check the Basic Core Formulary Search Tool to see if your drug is available.
You can wait for your prescription to be filled, or drop-off and pick it up later.

While there is no costs for prescriptions here at Nellis Air Force Base. However, there are costs for filling prescriptions via home delivery or at network pharmacies for all non-active duty beneficiaries:
Active duty service members have a $0 copayment for covered drugs at any pharmacy.
